What is considered to be a first pick?
“First pick” is a term used in order fulfillment to describe the process of selecting the first item from a warehouse’s inventory to fulfill a customer’s order. It’s the initial step in the picking process where warehouse workers collect the items that a customer has ordered before putting them inside a shipping box. If an order consist for example of three items and they all fit in a single box, you will be charged one time for first pick and two times for additional pick. However, if the items in the order are too large to be fit in a single box, you will be charged first pick for each additional box we need to use.
