How far are your customers from an FHU dock?
A shipping zone measures the distance between the warehouse that ships a parcel and the address it goes to. USPS uses eight domestic zones, from Zone 1 (up to 50 miles) to Zone 8 (more than 1,800 miles). Lower zones usually cost less to ship, so where your inventory sits shapes the cost of every order.
Distances are estimates from Census ZIP areas. Nothing you type leaves this page.

What a shipping zone is.
Carriers price ground parcels partly by distance. USPS sorts that distance into eight domestic zones, measured between the origin and destination ZIP codes. The same two-pound box can cost noticeably more in Zone 8 than in Zone 2, which is why brands with customers on both coasts often split inventory between warehouses.

Questions about shipping zones
What is a shipping zone?
A shipping zone is a distance band between the origin and destination ZIP codes of a parcel. USPS uses eight domestic zones: Zone 1 is up to 50 miles, Zone 4 is 301 to 600 miles and Zone 8 is more than 1,800 miles. Carriers price ground parcels partly by zone.
Which Fulfillment Hub USA warehouse is closest to my customers?
Enter a customer ZIP code in the map to see the nearest of the five U.S. warehouses (Dover, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles and South San Francisco), the straight-line distance and the estimated zone.
Does a lower zone mean faster delivery?
Usually, ground parcels to nearby zones spend less time in transit, but the carrier, the service level and the pickup time matter too. This map estimates distance and zone only; it does not promise delivery times.
Can I keep inventory in more than one warehouse?
Yes. Brands often place inventory in two or more locations so more orders ship in lower zones. Share your order history with our team and we can discuss which locations fit your customers.
How the map is calculated
Distances are straight-line miles from each warehouse’s ZIP code area to the principal city of each metro, or to the center of the three-digit ZIP area you enter. Zones apply the USPS distance bands to those miles. Carriers set real zones from their own charts for each pair of ZIP codes, so treat every zone here as an estimate, not a rate or a delivery promise.
