Built around your operating details

The right questions make a clearer plan.

Match the shipping setup

Check the logistics option available to your shop and how its labels, carrier handoff and shipment updates will work with the warehouse. Confirm the selected configuration before releasing orders.

Prepare for uneven demand

Share the promotion calendar, expected daily orders and the products likely to sell together. Set a replenishment and packaging plan that distinguishes a forecast from inventory already available to ship.

Keep each order traceable

Agree the product identifiers, one order-import path and the person responsible for exceptions. Reconcile order numbers and shipment records so a second connection does not create a second fulfillment instruction.

Details that make the difference

Build the warehouse plan before increasing order volume.

Start with the shop’s actual logistics options

TikTok’s U.S. logistics overview distinguishes Fulfilled by TikTok, TikTok Shipping and Seller Shipping, subject to seller eligibility. FBT places inventory in TikTok-operated warehouses; the other options can use a seller or third-party warehouse with different label and delivery arrangements. Check the options shown in Seller Center and confirm the intended flow with FHU before moving inventory.

Separate the platform settings from the warehouse scope. Record who supplies the label, where a parcel is handed over, how its shipment record returns to the shop and who investigates a missing scan. Agree the facility, product acceptance and handling requirements before setting a launch date. A software connection alone does not establish that every product, shipping option or operating requirement is covered.

Map products and choose one order connection

Give every sellable product and variation an unambiguous identifier. Match the shop catalog to the warehouse product file, then review weights, dimensions, unit quantities and any packaging instructions. Include examples of products sold individually and in sets. Decide how an unavailable component affects the order, who can approve a substitution and how the customer-service team receives the exception.

For its native TikTok connection, ShipHero’s current setup guide requires Seller SKUs and calls for disconnecting the TikTok-to-Shopify connection before using that native path. It also documents limitations for TikTok-created kits, split shipments and multi-warehouse features. Review those limits against your chosen configuration; do not change a working connection until the replacement and pending-order handoff are agreed.

Turn a sales forecast into stock and packing readiness

Bring a normal week of orders and a realistic peak scenario. Identify the leading products, the items commonly bought together and any packaging likely to run short. A promotion may generate orders faster than incoming inventory can be received. Decide how much verified stock is available for this channel and how the team will respond if a product sells faster than expected.

Prepare incoming inventory against an agreed receiving plan. Supply the expected quantities, carton or pallet identification and supplier arrival information. Record how discrepancies, damage and unidentified units will be handled before stock is released. Keep units awaiting inspection, reserved stock and inventory in another fulfillment program separate from the quantity that can be promised for warehouse orders.

Define the package and the exception path

Document the carton or mailer, protective material, insert and presentation expected for each order type. Confirm whether you provide the packaging or the warehouse supplies it, and include the cost in the proposal. For fragile products, apparel variations or promotional sets, share representative examples so the process can be checked against an actual packing result rather than a broad instruction to pack carefully.

Agree what happens when packaging is unavailable, an address changes or an order cannot be completed as requested. Name the person who can authorize a change and the method used to record it. Keep warehouse preparation, carrier acceptance and customer delivery separate when setting expectations. Review current platform requirements alongside the agreed service and handling plan rather than turning a carrier estimate into a universal delivery promise.

Compare the complete quote and plan returns

Use FHU’s published volume-based pick fees as individual cost components, then request an itemized quote for the actual order mix. Include receiving, storage, additional picks, packaging, returns, special work and shipping assumptions. Bring product dimensions, average items per order, normal and peak monthly volumes, and the inventory footprint. A headline handling fee does not describe the full cost of a TikTok Shop program.

Define how returned products are identified, inspected and assigned a disposition. Restocking, repackaging, review and other agreed outcomes require different work. Keep the platform’s refund decision separate from the warehouse’s physical assessment. Confirm the evidence, approval owner and charges needed for each path so a return does not silently become available inventory before its condition has been checked.

From inquiry to an agreed launch

Four steps to a practical operating plan.

  1. Share shop and product details

Bring your shop’s shipping configuration, catalog, order history, packaging needs and intended start date. Flag bundles, fragile items and known connection dependencies.

  2. Agree the warehouse scope

Confirm product acceptance, the selected facility, receiving, packing, returns and exception ownership. Review the full quote and any platform-specific constraints.

  3. Reconcile stock and pending orders

Check quantities and product mapping. Assign each pending order to one fulfillment path, with a documented handoff before changing an existing connection.

  4. Verify a representative order cycle

Check receipt, allocation, packing, label generation and shipment updates against the agreed result. Resolve mismatches before expanding the flow.

Before your first conversation

Bring the details you have. We'll work through the rest.

Bring the shop configuration, product file, current connections, order and return examples, packaging instructions and launch calendar. Tell the team which inventory is at another provider or already reserved for a different channel.

Use our published pricing tools to explore components, then confirm the complete scope in an itemized proposal. Our fulfillment planning guides can help you prepare the questions.

A few useful answers

Plan with fewer unknowns.

Explore fulfillment services and discuss the requirements that matter to your products.

Can FHU review fulfillment for my TikTok Shop?

FHU lists TikTok Shop in its integration catalog. The team can review your products, shop configuration and warehouse requirements. Confirm the supported connection, logistics option, facility and service scope before a live handoff.

Is FHU the same service as Fulfilled by TikTok?

No. FHU is a separate fulfillment provider. TikTok’s FBT program uses its own warehouse flow. Keep the inventory and responsibilities of each program distinct, and confirm which logistics options your shop is eligible to use.

Can my TikTok Shop use the same stock as other channels?

Warehouse stock can be planned across supported channels with agreed allocation and synchronization rules. Confirm the actual TikTok configuration and its limitations. Inventory held in an FBT or Amazon FBA program is a separate physical pool.

Can I use bundles, kits or split shipments?

Confirm these requirements before connecting the shop. ShipHero’s current TikTok guide lists restrictions for TikTok-created kits and split shipments. The team should review the proposed product structure and order flow rather than assume that a storefront bundle will import as intended.

What should I provide for an accurate fulfillment quote?

Share normal and peak order volumes, items per order, product dimensions, storage needs, packaging, returns and the intended shipping setup. Request separate warehouse, materials and shipping assumptions so the quote can be compared on the same scope.
