Global empowerment mission to provide Ukraine with approximately $85 million in aid
At a press conference in Rzeszów, where one of the GEM warehouses is located, the head of this organization, Michael Capponi says that the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) will provide Approximately $85 million is the value of the aid to the Ukraine in the first phase.
In addition to material support, GEM also wants to help refugees find a new home. The organization wants to carry out these activities together with the Jolanta Kwaśniewska Foundation Agreement without Barriers.
The head of GEM also called for the creation of a Global Relief Network to support war-torn Ukraine. The network would connect all organizations offering assistance, so as to coordinate, for example, deliveries to Ukraine.
To this end, GEM co-operates with Fulfillment Hub USA – it is one of the leading providers of warehouse and logistics services. It has twelve fulfillment centers in the U.S. and around the world, including Hungary and Poland.
Abel Horvath, General Director of Fulfillment Hub USA, who is present in Rzeszów, said that in Poland, Hungary and Ukraine, the company has over 8,000 square meters of warehouse space with over five thousand pallet places. He also added that it has the ability to send more than 200 trucks a week to Ukraine.
